Many West Ham United fans loved seeing a video of Ben Johnson celebrating his goal against Aston Villa on Sunday with a long-time friend.
The Hammers’ fantastic campaign continued at Villa Park as David Moyes’ men prevailed 4-1, with Declan Rice, Pablo Fornals and Jarrod Bowen also getting on the scoresheet along with Johnson. The Irons are now up to fourth in the Premier League table, possessing a three-point lead over Manchester United in fifth (Sky Sports).
Johnson has evolved into an important player for the Hammers over the past few weeks following Vladimir Coufal’s injury. Following his goal against Villa, the defender ran to the away end to celebrate with Anthony, a friend from his childhood. The latter posted a video on Twitter of the moment after the match.
It was fair to say that many of the club’s supporters were moved by the celebrations between the two friends, and they took to the social media platform to share their thoughts.
